Board Governance focuses on how associations and organizations agree upon and enact their strategic framework, as well as how they ensure that they successfully achieve their organizational objectives. The training is intended to equip board members with the requisite skills and knowledge to enable chambers and associations to achieve their intended results. Individuals that are not currently on their organization’s boards also stand to benefit from the training.
This course is designed to equip trainees with theories and principles of Association and Corporate Governance, as well as explore the role of stakeholders in Governance. This course will also focus on the current situation of governance in participants’ organizations, understanding best practices as well as lessons learned. Additionally, trainees will gain skills and knowledge on achieving their long-term goals through visionary leadership. The training also introduces decision making and performance management skills as key elements of governance. Overall, the training will enable participants to execute their roles & responsibilities properly and diligently while ensuring operations run smoothly within their organization.
